Despite the avalanche of money from Chispa and other out of state progressive interests over the last three election cycles, environmental groups have largely flown under the radar in their attempts to remake a major Arizona institution in their likeness.  

Around the country, as coal plants are being closed and more renewables brought online, there is a growing need for increased peak demand generation to maintain reliability of the electric grid. Natural gas is filling that gap time and again.
